Stone Medical Center for Headache and Hormone Health

Specialized Neurologic Care.
A Broader View of Your Health.

At Stone Medical Center for Headache and Hormone Health, we believe exceptional care begins with listening, understanding the whole person, and recognizing that health rarely fits neatly within the boundaries of a single specialty.

Led by Dr. Chelsea Stone, a board-certified neurologist and headache specialist, the practice provides highly individualized care for migraine and other headache disorders while paying thoughtful attention to the hormonal, reproductive, musculoskeletal, vestibular, and lifestyle factors that can influence neurologic health.

Our goal is not simply to reduce symptoms. It is to help you feel better, function better, and live better.

About

Chelsea Stone, DO

Dr. Stone founded this practice to care for people the way she believes medicine should be practiced: knowing her patients over years rather than visits, listening closely, and staying with them through every adjustment along the way. With expertise in migraine, complex headache, and facial pain disorders, her work centers on the people whose headaches and pain have been difficult to explain, and on the steady, ongoing relationship that makes real progress possible.

Comprehensive Headache & Migraine Care

Migraine is more than a headache. It is a complex neurologic disease that can affect nearly every aspect of a person’s life.

We provide comprehensive evaluation and individualized treatment for migraine and other headache disorders, combining evidence-based preventive and acute therapies with procedural treatments and a broader evaluation of the factors that may be contributing to your symptoms.

Treatment may include medications, Botox, targeted nerve blocks and other procedures, neuromodulation, lifestyle strategies, and collaboration with other specialists when appropriate.

Our approach is never one-size-fits-all. Your treatment plan is built around your symptoms, your health, your goals, and your life.

TBI & Post-Concussive Care

Recovery after a concussion or traumatic brain injury can involve much more than headache.

Dizziness, changes in vision, neck pain, sleep disruption, cognitive symptoms, mood changes, exercise intolerance, and difficulty returning to work or everyday activities may all be part of the picture.

We take a comprehensive approach to post-traumatic headache and persistent post-concussive symptoms, identifying the factors that may be contributing to ongoing symptoms and coordinating care across disciplines when needed.

The goal is not simply symptom management, but helping you return to the activities and life that matter to you.

Women’s & Reproductive Health

Migraine can change dramatically throughout a woman’s life. Hormonal fluctuations surrounding the menstrual cycle, fertility treatment, pregnancy, postpartum, breastfeeding, perimenopause, and menopause can all influence migraine.

We provide individualized neurologic care through each of these transitions, with careful attention to medication safety, reproductive goals, hormonal changes, and your overall health.

CARE WITH PERSONAL UNDERSTANDING

For Dr. Stone, caring for patients who are building their families is also personal.

After experiencing infertility while trying to conceive her first child, she understands firsthand some of the uncertainty, vulnerability, and complexity that can accompany the journey to parenthood.

You should not have to choose between treating your neurologic condition and pursuing your reproductive goals.

Whether you are preparing for pregnancy, undergoing fertility treatment, pregnant, or navigating the postpartum period, Dr. Stone will work collaboratively with your reproductive endocrinologist, OB/GYN, or maternal-fetal medicine specialist when appropriate to develop a thoughtful treatment plan and help optimize your care every step of the way.

Migraine, Perimenopause & Menopause

Perimenopause and menopause can be a particularly challenging time for people living with migraine.

Changing hormone levels may affect migraine frequency and severity at the same time that disrupted sleep, hot flashes, mood changes, cognitive concerns, and other symptoms begin to affect overall health and quality of life.

For patients with migraine—particularly migraine with aura—conversations surrounding menopausal hormone therapy can sometimes feel confusing or even frightening. We believe these decisions deserve thoughtful, individualized discussion rather than a one-size-fits-all answer.

Our approach is collaborative and evidence-informed. We carefully consider your migraine history, aura, personal risk factors, menopausal symptoms, goals, and overall health. When appropriate, Dr. Stone works alongside your OB/GYN, menopause specialist, primary care physician, or other members of your healthcare team.

Together, we can thoughtfully weigh potential risks and benefits, discuss available options, and develop a plan designed to optimize both neurologic health and quality of life through this transition.

Cluster Headache & Cranial Neuralgias

Specialized evaluation and treatment for cluster headache, trigeminal neuralgia, occipital neuralgia, and other complex cranial pain syndromes.

These conditions can be extraordinarily painful and often require a clinician familiar with their unique presentations and treatment options.

We combine detailed neurologic evaluation with individualized preventive, acute, and procedural treatment strategies, including targeted nerve blocks when appropriate.

A Broader Approach to Your Health

We believe the best care doesn’t always fit neatly within the boundaries of a single specialty.

Your health is interconnected. Headache, hormones, sleep, stress, movement, musculoskeletal health, vision, mental health, and overall well-being can all influence how you feel.

We take the time to look at the bigger picture and identify opportunities to improve your health beyond the traditional neurologic approach.

When additional expertise may help, we collaborate with a trusted network of local professionals across physical therapy, mental health, acupuncture, massage therapy, occupational therapy, neuro-optometry, and physician subspecialties.

We value evidence-based medicine while remaining curious, thoughtful, and willing to look beyond the traditional specialty “lane” when doing so may help us better understand what is affecting your health.

Our goal is not simply to treat symptoms, but to bring the right people and strategies together to help you feel and function at your best.
